Ionian Islands Prosopography, 19th and 20th centuries

This database brings together in a structured and searchable form biographical data on persons born in or originating from the Ionian Islands, who lived in the 19th and 20th centuries. It includes persons who have appeared in public life (with a political, artistic, scientific, technocratic, cultural or social activity). They may have lived in the Ionian Islands or the Greek State or belonged to the Greek Diaspora. The term origin is understood to mean that at least one of the two parents was born in the Ionian Islands. The data base includes persons who died in or after the year 1800. It does not include living persons.
